Power-to-Gas cluster visits new production facility of E-trucks in Lommel
The last general meeting of 2018 was held yesterday at the premises of one of the members: E-Trucks Europe in Lommel. E-Trucks develops electric and hydrogen trucks and has built a brand new production facility.
After the meeting the members were shown around in the new building by the enthusiastic director, André Beukers. The facility is very progressive in terms of energy supply. Solar panels on the roof and the south wall provide power generation. 60 geothermal heaters and two large thermal buffer vessels guarantee climate-friendly heating.
But of course, the party was mostly interested the hydrogen fuel cell refuse trucks in the production area. E-Trucks is in the middle of producing hydrogen vehicles for the Netherlands and has 20 new orders. From 2020 onwards, E-Trucks will be able to produce 50 hydrogen fuel cell refuse trucks per year in its new facility.
